The principle is based on the rational use and conservation of natural resources to prevent shortages for future generations. However, some things that facilitate life in society are bad for nature. This is true for automobiles. One result of fuel combustion is the emission of greenhouse gases and the consequent rise in the average temperature of Earth, affecting all living beings - animals and plants. If, on the one hand, it is almost impossible to live without cars today, some of their harmful effects can be reduced, for example, by cutting fuel consumption. This makes hybrid cars an alternative. In São Paulo city one member of ABLA offers a hybrid car. The model is the Ford Fusion sedan, with a 2.5-liter engine, which runs on gasoline or electricity. The vehicle was purchased in 2011. According to Junior Mertens, a manager at the company, the car is not yet rented much, compared with similar non-hybrid vehicles, but in the last two years it has been growing gradually.
