108 Anuário Brasileiro do Setor de Locação de Veículos Brazilian Vehicle Rental Sector Yearbook 2018 © Duvulgação FENAUTO Renovation of the fleet includes selling used vehicles F ENAUTO - the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Dealer Associations - envisages a period of recovery and even greater synergy with the rental sector in 2018 .Ilídio dos Santos, president of the body, says that the numbers from January this year are 5.1% up for new and used vehicles sales, year on year. “We believe that levels of new and used sales will stabilize in 2018. New vehicle sales have been recovering, consumer confidence has improved and signs of economic recovery are continuing,” says Ilídio. FENAUTO says credit is improving and buying used vehicles from rental companies has become consolidated among consumers. “If this scenario continues, preserving political and legal stability in the country, this segment is expected to improve in 2018,” adds Ilídio. Dealers and rental companies are getting closer every year and creating important links to demobilize assets in the sector. “We believe that partnerships will grow, increasing purchase options for rental agencies and end consumers buying used vehicles from rental agencies, in complete safety,” says. Ilídio. In November FENAUTO will hold its annual Congress in São Paulo (SP), close to the International Motor Show.
