10 Anuário Brasileiro do Setor de Locação de Veículos Brazilian Vehicle Rental Sector Yearbook 2026 2025: Growth with strategy 2026: Consolidation with leadership We at ABLA close 2025 with the conviction that we have fulfilled our mission. For yet another year, the vehicle rental sector demonstrated its strength and relevance to the domestic economy, even amid high interest rates and tight credit conditions. We achieved growth when many had predicted a downturn. And we grew consistently. The annual investment of rental companies in vehicle purchases exceeded R$ 79 billion, underscoring the sector’s strong commitment to fleet renewal and expansion, as well as our confidence in the Brazilian market. Gross revenue from vehicle rental in Brazil surpassed R$ 61 billion in 2025, driven by the sector’s proven ability to meet the demands for flexible and efficient mobility solutions. For the first time, our fleet has surpassed 1.7 million cars and light commercial vehicles. Today, we are a sector that sustains more than 120,000 direct jobs, serves as a powerful engine for the automotive industry, stimulates the trade of goods and services, and makes a meaningful contribution to income generation across all regions. These figures highlight the dedication, bravery, and flexibility of vehicle rental entrepreneurs, who now enter 2026 facing a year that will require attention and a focus on short-, medium-, and long-term planning. Additional challenges lie ahead, but they also create opportunities for those who are prepared. The key is to seize these moments to accelerate the adoption of technology, refine business strategies, invest in data intelligence, and strengthen corporate governance — across rental companies of all sizes, from micro and small enterprises to medium and large organizations. We remain confident. If 2025 proved our capabilities, 2026 is already emerging as a year to consolidate the vehicle rental sector’s leadership and reaffirm our commitment to economic and social development. We will continue to carefully monitor market trends and make informed, sound decisions. Our focus remains on balancing sustainable growth with operational efficiency.
