Isso correspondeu a 1,2% do PIB da indústria brasileira. Mais da metade (64,6%) da renda gerada na cadeia produtiva veio da mineração de cobre, 12,5% da metalurgia e 22,9% da produção de bens transformados de cobre. More than half (64.6%) of the income generated in the production chain came from copper mining, 12.5% from metallurgy, and 22.9% from the production of transformed copper goods. Indicadores sociais / Social indicators Apesar da pequena participação de mulheres na força de trabalho (13,2% do total), a força de trabalho empregada na metalurgia do cobre registrou salários 7% maiores que os salários da força de trabalho masculina em 2023. O setor também se destacou pela baixa rotatividade da mão de obra, com mais da metade da força de trabalho empregada há mais de cinco anos. Despite the small representation of women in the workforce (13.2% of the total), the workforce employed in copper metallurgy had salaries that were 7% higher than the salaries paid to men in 2023. The sector also stood out for the low turnover of the workforce, with more than half of the people being employed for more than five years. Entre os produtos da metalurgia, os tubos e canos foram os que tiveram maior elevação e preços (3,8% ao ano) no mercado norte-americano.
