Anuario ABLA - 2014

13 Anuário Yearbook ABLA 2014 It is nowmore andmore common for companies to outsource their fleets and putt the money quickly into working capital. That is, outsourcing is away to free up cash to generatemore profit. While this reduces the investment in vehicles, it also improves the quality of the fleet and specialized management of the vehicles. “The cost of leasing is demonstrably lower than running your own fleet,” says CarlosRigolino,VicePresidentofABLA’sNationalBoard. Companies take into account the depreciation of vehicles, the usually very high costs on preventive and corrective maintenance, the cost of having reserve cars, licensing, insurance and administrative and personnel costs. Whenopting tooutsource, besides transferringsuch responsibilities, the company achieves for flexibility. “The fleet size can be changed quickly, meeting the needs of the company,” explains Rigolino. “For times when more cars are needed, the leasing company can provide them quickly,” he says. The quality of the leasing companies’ fleets is another factor taken into consideration. Companies that outsources are assured that they will always have new cars that are changed periodically, without spending time and money and on buying vehicles, licensing and insuring them. With regard to the human resources required to administer the service, car leasing companies have qualified and specially trained people to manage fleets. “That is, in addition to eliminating any concerns in this regard for the company, outsourcing also enables human resources to be redirected to their main activity,” says Rigolino. Outsourcing of car fleets must be used as an efficientway toachieve competitiveness, addsRigolino. Itwill for all these reasons continue togrow. Fleet outsourcing is a sensibledecision alterado, atendendoasnecessidadesdaempresa”, explica Rigolino, da ABLA.
